Espetada Taste Test

Espetada paved its way in the city back in 2013. In their early days, they began as a shack near Victoria Plaza where people had to squeeze their way in just to get a taste of their special hanging chicken. Following their success, they opened their new store at the back of Plaza del Carmen (along Sobrecarey of Bo. Obrero).

The taste of their menu is distinct. You cannot find it anywhere else in Davao. That’s what makes Espetada special–it just makes you want to go back for more.

Our trip to Espetada was unexpected. We were fixated with our school requirements, when we blurted out in unison (like we had some telepathy) that we wanted to go back to Espetada. Since it was our second time together at Espetada, we decided to go for their Beef Espetada, which was priced for only 150 pesos including two side dishes. You can choose from rice, fries, buttered potato, buttered corn, and chef’s salad.

Jessa paired her Beef Espetada with rice and buttered corn, while I went with rice and buttered potato. Needless to say, it did not disappoint us as it satisfied our craving.

Espetada is open everyday from 11 am to 11 pm. They are usually full on evenings. So I suggest that you come early.
